Description
For 35 years, the Darebin Falcons Women’s Sports Club has been a proudly volunteer-run, community-driven organisation, operating within the City of Darebin, dedicated to creating opportunities for women, girls, and gender-diverse people to participate, lead, and thrive in sport.
The club supports AFL, soccer and 8-ball and is known as one of the largest soccer clubs for girls and the most prominent and successful AFL club for women and girls.
From a single team in 1990, the DWSC supports over 70 sporting teams for girls, women, and gender-diverse participants, with over 800 playing members across Australian rules football, soccer and cricket. The Falcons are more than a community club. Since our inception, each generation of Falcon repeats the same accolade, “ a place to belong, a place of safety; a place to bring my whole self”.
We are the only standalone women’s club in the VFLW, producing AFLW players, coaches, and leaders who inspire the next generation.
