Description
We are a passionate team of Curtin University staff and students, regional community leaders, Traditional Knowledge Holders, and community members collaborating on a range of projects across regional Western Australia.
The Regional Changemakers program enables university students—across all disciplines—to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate specialisations or award courses focused on regional renewal and regeneration.
Our teaching approach has been co-created with Traditional Knowledge Holders and draws deeply from Indigenous Knowledge Systems. This allows students to experience regional Australia through the lens of an interconnected world, and to recognise the responsibilities we all share as active citizens and mindful stewards of Country and community. We are all part of a Collective Journey.
Through this work, students connect meaningfully with regional communities—and regional communities engage with the University. Together, we raise awareness of the significance of the regions, promote opportunities for regional careers and lifestyles, and foster relationships that support purpose-driven, impactful projects.
