Description
The Center for Security Towards Peace (CSTP), a think tank and policy institute dedicated to research and advocacy concerns on issues related to national defense, security, peace and order, and public safety.
CSTP conducts research and provides technical support to address concerns in the following: (1) Security Sector; (2) Political Strategy; (3) Social Policies; and (4) Reform and Humanities. CSTP engages with security experts and advocates, scholars, civil society organizations, and policy influencers.
The Center for Security Towards Peace was formerly a loose coalition or an informal alliance of peace experts and advocates, scholars, and civil society organizations. It convened Non-Security Sector Stakeholders and helped create a platform to open dialogue between Non-Security Sector Stakeholders and the Security sector. Since the need for dialogue and policy reform grew, the members of the coalition decided to establish The Center for Security Towards Peace. It was formally registered and established in January 2022.
