Description
CovidCare is a self monitoring app developed by The University of Melbourne and digital product company Two Bulls alongside a team of medical experts and researchers and general practitioners from Altona North Medical Group. The app is aimed to provide support to people with and without COVID-19 to self-monitor in isolation and quarantine.
The app is live in clinical trials across Australia. The aim of the study is to ensure that CovidCare is safe and can effectively help people monitor any COVID-19 symptoms they are experiencing. It will inform the understanding of the symptom trajectories of COVID-19 and the benefits and potential harms of self-monitoring. A sub-study is aimed to help understanding emotional needs during self-isolation.
The University of Melbourne Department of General Practice is actively recruiting all respiratory clinics and eligible primary care organisations (general practices, community health centres and health services) to the CovidCare clinical trial. Please find more information below.
