Countrywide Metals began with the formation of Budget Steel in 1989. The small family run business serviced the local Gympie region's steel requirements with a small stock holding, steel fabrication and an all hands on deck approach.
Dedication to top quality country service and an investment in hard work saw the business's vision grow. Budget Steel became a full service steel merchant, stocking a comprehensive range of products and supplying to customers around Queensland, Australia and overseas.
After fabricating for its loyal customers for 15 years through Budget Steel, Countrywide Metals founded Cavalier Engineering in 2005. With the focus on structural steel, civil products, sheds, livestock handling equipment and facing, demand increase for its renowned high quality.
In April 2015, Countrywide Metals launched Cav Sheds, a company specialised in design, sale, fabrication and installation of quality sheds for the rural, domestic and industrial market, nationwide!
