Description
Connovate Philippines, Inc. (CPI) is the Philippines’ first BOI-registered manufacturer of high-performance concrete (HPC) panels, a green building innovation from Denmark. The Company manufactures, fabricates, and supplies HPC concrete products to various real estate developers in the country.
Originally intended for the high-end market, Connovate wall panels have been successfully integrated in solar-powered affordable communities developed by its parent company, Imperial Homes Corporation.
The Connovate System is an optimized building system using HPC, a unique lightweight, high quality sandwich panel. Furthermore, the system is based on new labor-saving production processes, concrete prescriptions, reinforcement principles, and most notably, a production paradigm, where the entire manufacturing facility can be dismantled and set-up in locations near the project sites.
Connovate was founded by Arkitema, the largest architectural company in Denmark, together with Ambercon, Denmark’s most modern manufacturer of prefabricated concrete building elements. Other participants in the Connovate Innovation Project included faculties under the Technical University of Denmark, and independent consulting firms like the Fire Institute.
CPI produces sustainable, resilient, and healthy homes. It uses 85% less cement and so mitigates climate change. It’s also molds-free, which according to a study, prevents the growth of bacteria and viruses. Moreover, it has useful life of more than 100 years, and a strength of 14,000 PSI, which is 20 times the strength of a typical concrete hollow blocks.
CPI started way back in 2015 when the Company worked with Connovate Denmark for an R&D Project to address the housing backlog in the Philippines. Two years after that, the Company successfully completed its first factory and integrated Connovate in Imperial Homes’ housing projects. To date, CPI has produced about 1,000 Connovate houses from its Silang Factory alone.
