In 1974, Comvita founders Claude Stratford and Alan Bougen imagined people living healthy lives. Bees were their inspiration, and honey their medicine. Together, they set out on their mission: to benefit people's lives by creating top-quality, healthy products in as close to their natural state as possible.
Nearly 50 years on, our purpose is still to inspire, enable and empower people to live healthy and vibrant lives, whilst working in harmony with bees and nature, to heal and protect the world.

Comvita is a New Zealand stock exchange-listed (NZX:CVT), international natural health products company and is committed to the development of innovative natural health and wellbeing products, backed by credible scientific research.
We develop, market and manufacture products in the categories of Healthcare, Personal Care (Wound Care) and Functional Foods (Health Foods). Mānuka (leptospermum) honey is at the core of the Comvita product range and we are the largest manufacturer and marketer of this uniquely New Zealand resource.
We sell into over 18 countries through a network of wholesale and third-party retail outlets, with more than 480 branded retail outlets throughout Asia – including 400 stores in 40 cities in mainland China - and online. We have offices in New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, South Korea, UK and USA.
