Description

Code Like A Girl - Vietnam was founded from a background of an Innovation Tournament designed for Female Developers in Saigon community. And then we realized that to make a real difference we need to commit in what we are doing for a long term as we aim to discover and support high-potential female talents in IT industry by putting systematic plans in place to make progress of creating balanced workforce. We believe that diversity, inclusion and equity are at the core of who we are. We want to bring varied perspectives to our work helps generate better ideas to solve the complex business problems that we’re collectively facing in a rapidly changing and increasingly diverse world.

Our "I.D.E.A" mission combines 4 key components and is driven by these philosophies:

• Inclusion is about a sense of belonging. In an inclusive culture, we all have equitable access to opportunities, and each of us feels safe, respected, heard, and valued for who we are.
• Diversity is about variety in similarities and differences among people, across dimensions like sex, gender identity, race, native or indigenous identity, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, mental health, geography, nationality, and personality type. Representation of these diversity dimensions in an organization may vary by geography, time, or organization.
• Equity is about fairness. It’s different from equality...while both promote fairness, equality achieves this through treating everyone the same, regardless of need and circumstances. Equity achieves this through treating people differently based on need, circumstance and consideration of historical and systemic inequities.
• Action is about what we do to create a more inclusive, diverse and equitable community. It is about the commitments we make to each other and to our communities, and about how we act in support of those commitments.
