Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities (CIMSA) is a non-profit and non-government organization that is independent, nationalist, non-political and non-partisan with activity based programs. CIMSA consist of six standing committees related to health issues, that is Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV&AIDS, Public Health, Medical Education, Human Rights and Peace, Research Exchange and Professional Exchange. CIMSA was officially established in May 6th 2001 by some medical students from various cities of Indonesia based on the inclination for an organization that based on ongoing activities; utilize the developing technology, with internationally standard programs to support medical students in Indonesia. CIMSA held its first General Assembly at May 11th-13th 2001 and has been in affiliated with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) in 2002. Since then, CIMSA has 27 locals spread in various faculties of medicine throughout Indonesia and continues to grow. Ever since 2004, CIMSA FK UNS has taken part to be one of the center for medical students’ activites in Sebelas Maret University participating in our nation’s health improvement. Through its tagline, “Empowering Medical Students, Improving Nation’s Health”, CIMSA provides many opprotunnities to increase the capacity of Indonesian medical students and use the capacities and capabilities to nourish and educate the nation in the effort to actively improve the nation’s health and world’s health by real activities in community. Ever since 2004, CIMSA FK UNS has taken part to be one of the center for medical students’ activites in Sebelas Maret University participating in our nation’s health improvement.
