Charlotte Minty founded her eponymous Wellington-based interior design and architectural design practice in 2003.
CMID was established with the belief in the merger of beauty, harmony and functional performance. Classic, yet modern with a feeling of freshness and calm neatly captures the practice’s design aesthetic.
Managing projects from start to finish, the practice works closely with architects and stable of expert contractors to deliver positive experiences and outcomes for clients. Building and nurturing first-rate client relations is a core value of the business.
CMID has a proven track record of designing a variety of quality living spaces, including kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. Bringing new life and utility to office and retail spaces is also a feature of our work.
Charlotte and her team offer a broad range of skills and experience, including developing master plans for residential and commercial projects. They also source and select furniture, soft furnishings, finishings, lighting, rugs, paint colour schemes, and textiles.
Collaborating with experienced manufacturers, CMID also designs and manages the construction of bespoke joinery, furniture and upholstery to meet the needs of any project.
The practice’s styling services include procuring and curating artwork, artefacts and accessories to add ideal finishing touches to a home or professional environment.
