The Centre for Community-Driven Response (CCDR) is a nurse-led international NGO, and our programs are built on the guiding principles of nursing practice. This means we design services that empower nurses to work autonomously, apply clinical judgment, and operate at their full scope of practice. Our approach provides communities with direct access to care and benefits from the unique nursing perspective that spans disciplines, settings, and lived experiences. We prioritise holistic and continuous care, ensuring meaningful time with patients and attention to their physical, emotional, and social needs. Advocacy is central to our work—amplifying patient voices and honoring their preferences. Our programs also cultivate collegial, respectful collaboration among healthcare professionals and maintain intentional space for ethical reflection in all aspects of service delivery.
