Carbon Forestry is an industry-led event discussing the future of forestry and carbon markets. It covers new opportunities and policies in carbon planting, investment and the growing carbon offset markets.
Event Details In August 2024, over 250 industry leaders, corporate emitters and investors attended the event in Rotorua, New Zealand and virtually online. This annual event has become the place to meet and learn about what’s happening in this expanding investment class.
This event continues to grow, especially when we look at how important forestry is in New Zealand’s response to climate change.
In 2024, the then Climate Change Minister, Hon Simon Watts, reinforced that forestry plays an essential part in New Zealand’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and the Government’s commitment to the sector.
