Description

It is well known that Northern Australia has large tracts of arable land and a lot of under utilised water resources. Cape York BioFutures (CYBFE) are looking to develop to an irrigated agricultural and bioprocessing project for Far North Qld powered by renewable energy.

We have designed a vertically and horizontally integrated project that will produce Sugarcane, Guar, Aquaculture, Cattle and Biofuels such as DME, Ethanol and Biomass Pellets.

This will be a boon for remote areas of Cape York and the Gulf of Carpentaria, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities creating over 4200 direct jobs over the next 5 years.

With an experienced team of professionals supported by the assistance of some of Qld's leading specialists in water, construction and renewable energy design, we are delivering on the vision of Developing Northern Australia.

CYBFE will be powered 100% by renewable energy making it a net sequester of Green House Gases(GHG) and we will contribute towards Australia's 2030 & 2050 GHG emissions reduction targets.

CYBFE envisage that Traditional Owners will own a equity stake in the project creating a pathway for wealth creation for remote and disadvantaged communities.
