In 1976 Cape Byron Imports - now known as MIRAGE SPORTS - began providing water sports equipment to retailers on the North Coast of NSW. Working from the back of the Byron Bay dive shop this initially small business had a very clear objective of becoming a world class distributor of sports gear & sports equipment.
Now, from our National Distribution Centre in Sydney, MIRAGE SPORTS has established a large network of dealers and customers throughout Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
A key ingredient to our long term success has been the quality and commitment of our fabulous staff and their willingness to make every effort to delight our customers.
Our customer base includes the biggest and the best, both corporate and independent customers across multiple channels of distribution; inclusive sports stores, aquatic centres, camping stores, adventure stores, snorkelling & scuba diving shops, fishing and tackle stores, government bodies, the military forces and emergency services.
We are fortunate to be the exclusive distributors for a number of globally significant and powerful water sports & adventure sports brands.
MADDOG SURF and ACCESSORIES Maddog is a 'hard core' surf brand with over 20 years of heritage and credibility in the Australian surfing industry, best known for its range of high performance surfboards, wetsuits, surf clothing and surf accessories.
Our own 'beach and swim' brand MIRAGE has found a strong place in the hearts of homes of thousands of Australians, with its strong value and product propositions, complementing nicely our other snorkelling & scuba diving brands.
