Cancer Society Nelson Tasman has been a vital part of the Nelson Tasman community for over 60 years, committed to supporting those affected by cancer in our region. As part of the Cancer Society Wellington Division, we serve as an independent, 100% community-funded charity, delivering tailored programs that make a significant impact on the lives of those facing cancer.
With offices in both Nelson and Motueka, we work closely with our dedicated volunteers, supporters, stakeholders, and staff, we focus on addressing all aspects of cancer care and prevention, including:
Driving clients to cancer-related appointments Providing counselling services for clients and whānau Offering a diverse range of support groups across the region Facilitating restorative yoga classes and a rehabilitative gym program Running a Volunteer Visitor Programme Funding innovative research to advance cancer prevention Advocating for government action on cancer-related issues Supporting comprehensive services and vital information for those affected by a cancer diagnosis Promoting health campaigns and raising awareness
