Ocean Free + Ocean Freedom – Cairns Premier Reef & Island Tours are locally owned and operated by husband-and-wife team - Perry Jones and Taryn Agius. The company was started by a mutual personal passion for the Great Barrier Reef and introducing guests to this wonderful World Heritage icon.
Operating two small group, uniquely different, Great Barrier Reef tours:
Ocean Free a 16M sailing vessel: Ocean Free sails to Great Barrier Reef and Green Island – offering 25 guests a sail, snorkel, dive, reef and island experience all in the one day with authentic sailing on way home and 4 ½ hrs to spend between the reef and Green Island
Ocean Freedom Cruise to Outer Edge Upolu Reef and Upolu Cay Reef – small group, fast and comfortable boat, offering 2 unique Great Barrier reef sites with 6hr of unrushed actual reef time with complimentary Adventure Drift Snorkel and Glass Bottom Boat tours during the day.
Operating reef tours locally for almost 30 years, they take great pride in their crew who are “hand-picked” for unsurpassed service, professionalism and a high respect for safety. Perry and Taryn view their crew as the operation’s greatest asset and strive to ensure all their guests receive the best care possible.
Passionate also about sustainability, protecting the Great Barrier Reef and educating guests on the wonders of this icon. The company is a Green Travel Leader, holding ADVANCED Eco certification since 2009. Stewards of their reef sites, involved in Eye on the Reef, Photo Point Enhancement, Coral Nurture programme, and assisting Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority surveying reef areas and corallivore control. Latest projects include the build of a new 24 M Electric-Hybrid Eco Catamaran for cleaner energy solutions and enhanced passenger experience on the Great Barrier Reef.
