Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) is the marketing name for the New Zealand Convention Association Inc, a fully incorporated non-profit society.
BEIA will take a lead role to increase New Zealand convention and meeting activity from international and domestic sources, for the benefit of its membership, principal stakeholders and the New Zealand economy.
BEIA will also act in an advocacy role for the New Zealand convention and incentive tourism sectors and provide opportunities for professional development, accreditation and education for those engaged in the sector.
BEIA Marketing Activities:
MEETINGS Trade Show MEETINGS, hosted by BEIA and offered referred to as "the jewel in the BEIA crown" is New Zealand’s only annual national business tourism event for the conference, meetings, events and incentive travel industry. This highly acclaimed two-day trade show brings together buyers and sellers of conference and New Zealand incentive travel products and services to grow mutual business opportunities and share knowledge and ideas. The event is held annually and welcomes over 190 exhibiting companies. A Hosted Buyer programme is also offered to qualified buyers from Australia, New Zealand and internationally.
BEIA Annual Conference The BEIA Annual Conference is the only opportunity in a busy calendar year to get together. Here we discuss issues that affect our industry specifically, come up with ideas for improved performance and also to catch up with old friends and make new ones. The BEIA Annual Conference offers professional development opportunities.
BEIA Event Planners' Guide The New Zealand Event Planners' Guide is distributed annually to conference, meeting and incentive buyers, and contains detailed information on New Zealand conference venues and services. The Planner is widely recognised as the industry “Bible” for planners in New Zealand and overseas.
