The Building Materials Distributors Association of Malaysia (BMDAM) was established in 1976 and is recognized as the national association for companies engaging in the business of supply & distribution of building materials in Malaysia. - Presenting members’ views, as a group to manufacturers of building materials, related agencies and industry counterparts, and thereby create and foster better relationship with all parties within the industry. Dialogues are held regularly with various organisations such as Cement & Concrete Association (C&CA), the Malaysia Iron & Steel Industry Federation (MISIF), the Master Builders Association of Malaysia (MBAM), Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), the Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (REHDA) and more.
- Maintaining regular contact with the relevant Government agencies and holding annual dialogues with the Ministry of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Housing & Local Government, Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), during which problems encountered by the members are presented and resolved.
- Uniting the members through regular activities, by providing a platform for social interaction between the members and their associates.
- Engaging the members in talks, seminars and educational industry-related programmes for the benefit of members.
