The peak French celebration in Queensland, Le Festival is Brisbane’s Francophile and Francophone community sharing their passion for France with wider communities for 3 days. Enriched by Australia’s multiculturalism, we want to foster the bond between our cultures, inspire and share our love for all things French, and encourage our community to join us in toasting the best of Australia and of France.
A major event on Queensland’s cultural calendar, and illuminating Brisbane with French culture and savoir-faire, Le Festival’s mission, prospering since 2010 thanks to a group of amazing and passionate volunteers, is to provide an authentic immersion experience.
Le Festival presents Brisbane with its timeless and authentic "savoir-faire" to become the largest, most iconic and successful French festival in Australia. Our main objectives are:
🍾 Showcasing a diverse range of music, cuisine, education, and lifestyle “à la française”
🥐 Showcasing the French culture to the wider community 🎡 Strengthening French-Australian cultural and business relationships 🎨 Attracting the French, Francophile, and wider community to experience Le Festival
Launched in 2010, the Brisbane French Festival – now called Le Festival – is a not-for-profit association run by a passionate team of 25+ volunteers all year round and 300+ volunteers all over the week-end. We want to inspire Australians to share our passion and join us in toasting the best of Australia and of France.
