Our mission is to promote greater diversity on boards and in senior management in Singapore, by engaging in innovative and impactful programmes, and education and advocacy to drive measurable change.
BoardAgender was launched in March 2011 as an initiative of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations, after a group of like-minded women identified the need for an organisation that would focus on increasing the awareness of gender balanced boards and businesses Singapore. Its aims are endorsed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development in Singapore.
Since this time, through its ground-breaking research and events, BoardAgender has been the leading organisation in Singapore which has increased awareness and understanding of the benefits of gender balanced business, and the advancement of more women into senior leadership roles and the boardroom.
BoardAgender believes that gender balance on boards and in senior management not only encourages better leadership and governance, but diversity further contributes to better all-round board performance, and ultimately increased corporate performance for both organisations and their stakeholders.
BoardAgender’s approach - collaborative, concerted and complementary efforts - together with other stakeholders and collaborators – have and will continue to help to accelerate progress towards better gender balance at all levels of organisations.
