BioIQ will change farming practices forever with in-field microbial products to boost soil health and plant growth.
Half of our world’s food supply is dependent on synthetic nitrogen fertilizer, yet it has serious environmental impacts. Farmers are looking for new tools today that can help them reliably feed their nitrogen-hungry crops in a more environmentally sustainable way.
BioIQ was born out of an ambition to reduce the use of synthetic chemical fertilisers and improve soil health, migrating farm and agribusiness to something more sustainable and safer to use.
Robert Rushford, along with the other founders of BioIQ, developed a new plant nutrition solution that provides regenerative and all natural solutions for farmers and agribusiness to improve the health of the planet through scientific innovation.
BioIQ recognises that current fertiliser practices are unsustainable so they're solving the toughest problems facing the industry today.
Through the addition of powerful soil biology to high grade composted materials and fertilisers, BioIQ utilises specific microbes to convert nitrogen from the air to reduce crops’ externally applied daily nitrogen needs.
BioIQ allows nutrients in the soil, such as potassium and phosphorous, to be mined by plants that protect them from pathogen attack and stimulates their immune system leading in a reduction in synthetic fertiliser and chemical use.
Not only do synthetic nitrogen fertilisers over use the carbon in the soil, synthetic urea has definite implications for existing micro-organisms in the soil. It’s a very simple equation. If you destroy your soil microbes’ ability to convert nutrients by reducing the numbers and effectiveness of these colonies, your soils “engine” breaks down, leading to reduced yields and higher input costs.
BioIQ is effective for all plant types. Our goal is to change farming and landscaping practices forever.
