The BASC Lab’s mission is to aid the progress of the field of urban climate and microclimate design and planning. It is also to enhance communication between researchers, urban designers, planners, and policy makers to ensure the state of the art of urban climate-related knowledge is applied in practice. Through research and teaching we develop new knowledge related to the impact of urban design and planning on the resulting microclimates and consequently human comfort and health, and associated risks.
