Big Brothers Big Sisters equips Mentors with the ability to ignite potential and build resilience in young people all over Aotearoa New Zealand.
As a part of the world’s largest volunteer mentoring network, we make professionally supervised mentoring matches between adults and young people in 12 regions across the country.
Partnering with whānau, schools, businesses and others in the community, Big Brothers Big Sisters carefully pairs children and young people with screened, trained volunteer mentors and monitors and supports the matches throughout their course.
Research shows that our mentoring works - just one hour, once a week, makes a lasting difference in the life of a child.
