The company specialises in providing a full range of friction materials and ancillary solutions for passenger and commercial vehicles.
FMP Group originated in 1955 and is Australia’s largest automotive friction material manufacturer. The company is a joint venture between, Honeywell International Inc. and Robert Bosch GMBH. The affiliation with Garrett gives the company access to the latest technology and techniques. FMP has one of the largest research and development facilities in the southern hemisphere, and this technology base, together with our strong global links, gives FMP Group the ability to tailor friction solutions to a wide range of applications.
FMP also manages a manufacturing plant in Thailand and a sales office in Malaysia, producing and selling similar products. Markets currently include South East Asia, the Pacific Rim, and several niche markets. The company’s ability to identify, win, and service these markets has made the Bendix brand the largest in the region and using home grown, world class technology, that has been one of the keys to the company’s success.
