Backbone inspires, empowers and equips young peoples' creative futures through performance.
Based in Brisbane, we create local, regional and interstate projects, driven by creative risk, contemporary aesthetic and artistic excellence. We offer a dynamic platform of cultural events, main house and studio performance works, festivals, training and mentoring.
As Queensland's premier youth arts company, we develop the leadership capacities of a young generation of performers, theatre-makers and cultural producers to take forward into careers in the arts and otherwise.
