Australian Women In Business Pty Ltd is proudly owned and operated by globally recognised small business expert and Indigenous business specialist, Petina Tieman. Petina founded her first Women's leadership and empowerment group at age 24, another in 2019 and has recently co-authored 2 x Amazon #1 Women's leadership and empowerment books.
Initially established as a facebook group in 2020, the founder sold the AWIB facebook group of 1,100 members to Petina Tieman, renown for her work in Women’s Leadership and Empowerment. June 2024, the group now boasts 2,800 proactive members.
Australian Women In Business’ core focus is to provide mentoring, coaching, business support services and business growth opportunities to women who own and operate business in Australia.
Operated as a social enterprise, the company supports its members through the provision of free advice, mentoring, promotional opportunities, expert tips and access to resources. Additionally members are proactively encouraged to undertake business activities with each other, before searching online for other options.
