Description

Supporting recovery and healing for women, children and gender diverse people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic, family and sexual violence.

The Alliance is a diverse and united coalition who come together with the shared intent of ensuring that recovery and healing from domestic, family and sexual violence has a national focus and is supported by informed and appropriate policy frameworks and sustained levels of funding.

From every State and Territory in Australia, our Alliance is made up of victim/survivor advocates, sector professionals, community-based organisations, peak bodies and individual members.

We know that domestic, family and sexual violence is a public health emergency in Australia and that focusing on holistic approaches to healing and recovery is an important way we can interrupt the ongoing impacts of trauma and disadvantage.

Without appropriate recovery and healing services, adult and child victim-survivors can be forgotten by health systems and left to deal with the impacts of family violence on their own. The Alliance has formed to make sure recovery gets the investment and focus it needs.

Women and children should have access to recovery services wherever they are, when they need them, for as long as they need them.
