🌍 At ASERA, we’re more than just a research organisation — we’re a vibrant community of science education researchers, educators, and advocates who are passionate about improving science education for all. Based in Australia and New Zealand, our network spans the globe, drawing together researchers from across the region and beyond to collaborate, share ideas, and inspire change.
Each year, we bring our community together at our annual conference, a space for educators and researchers to engage with the latest in science education research, share experiences, and build meaningful connections. We also publish the Research in Science Education (RISE) journal, a respected platform for sharing innovative research that contributes to better science education.
ASERA is proud of its deep ties with international organisations like the European Science Education Research Association (ESERA), the US-based NARST, and the International Council of Associations for Science Education (CASE). These collaborations allow us to bring global perspectives to our work. We also work closely with science teachers through our connections with the Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA), state and territory science teacher associations, and the New Zealand Association of Science Educators (NZASE).
