The Australasian PASS Alliance (APA) was established in June 2024 to strengthen and support the Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) and peer learning community across Australasia.
APA brings together a team of internationally Accredited Certified Trainers with over 100 years of combined experience in delivering, training, and researching PASS. Our mission is to provide high-quality training, professional development, and strategic support for peer learning programs grounded in evidence-based practice.
Through regional collaboration, capacity-building, and knowledge-sharing, we aim to foster excellence in peer learning and contribute to student success and retention across diverse institutional contexts.
APA operates under a distributed leadership model, with a network of State and Regional Convenors and Committees supporting Certified Trainers. Together, they deliver online and face-to-face community catch-ups, Accredited PASS Supervisor and Advanced PASS training, the National PASS & Peer Learning Leader Awards, and the annual PASS & Peer Learning Conference.
APA is the authorised regional representative of the International Center for Supplemental Instruction/PASS, based at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, USA.
