AASP is a professional association for private consultants operating in the retirement, age and disability sectors. The association ensures organisations providing services in the ageing, retirement and disability industries operate with integrity in an ethical and professional manner to contribute to the high reputation and assist in the betterment of the industry.
The objective for which the organisation is established is to be a not for profit, professional association whose purposes are:

- Establish standards of conduct, competency and operation for members.
