About Us:

The Asian Research Center for Migration (ARCM), based at the Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, is a recognized Center of Excellence in social science research on migration. Established in 1987 as the Indochinese Refugee Information Center, ARCM was reconstituted in 1995 to broaden its scope to cover all forms of international migration in Southeast Asia, with Thailand as a key sending, receiving, and transit country.

Our Mission:

We produce timely, evidence-based research on migration trends and processes in Thailand and the wider Southeast Asian region. ARCM provides research, statistical data, and policy recommendations to inform the public, academia, policymakers, and practitioners. We also share our expertise through lectures, seminars, training, and consultancies.
