Description
The Asia Bilingual Youth Model United Nations (BYMUN) is both Nanyang Girls High School and Singapore’s first attempt at hosting a Model United Nations conducted in both English and Chinese. It aims to empower students who have a strong grasp of the two languages by providing a platform for them to showcase their various talents.
Here at BYMUN, candidates are given valuable opportunities to engage with both local and international students, explore new perspectives, exchange meaningful ideas, and enhance one’s awareness of the role as a global citizen through the discussion of pertinent global issues.
Throughout a long time, Nanyang Girls' High School has been working closely with schools in Shanghai to host the Singapore-Shanghai SAP Seminar, which was help alternatively in the two countries every year. However, this year, the format of the Seminar will be done in the style of a Model United Nations to bring it up to a whole new level as students are now exposed to diplomacy and various social issues around the world.
