The Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing (ANATS) is the peak national body dedicated to the art of singing and singing teaching. ANATS empowers both its membership and the wider singing teaching community to develop their vocal pedagogy through professional learning, by delivering outstanding educational opportunities across Australia.
ANATS plays a critical role in guiding the careers of singing teachers from metro, regional and rural areas, establishing a strong community of practice. Our members have a considerable impact on the community in their diverse capacities - as teachers in music studios & classrooms, lecturers, choir directors, and peripatetic teachers - educating thousands of students across Australia.
Our showpiece event, the ANATS National Conference, connects the Australian singing teaching community and facilitates presentations from prominent international speakers. ANATS strongly advocates for ongoing research in the field of vocal pedagogy and singing voice research, annually publishing the peer-reviewed international journal, Australian Voice and providing opportunities for researchers to share their work both nationally and internationally.
