Albany Capital, launched in June 2021, utilises a very experienced team to build complex, absolute return, investment portfolios for sophisticated global investors. The Principals, all having previously managed multi-billion pools of investment capital, now collectively harnesses their 120 years of direct investment knowledge for the benefit of our investors.
Our newly launched Global Macro strategy is a proprietary blend of cross-market strategies, perfected by Al Sloan, having previously managed Global Macro strategies for Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and the Soros family office, and most recently as the Head of the $50B TAA program for a large superannuation fund. The strategy has been launched with a significant investment from a single NY based investor. The Principals have also made significant co-investments into the strategy pool.
Like Australia's first seaway to the rest of the world, The Albany Passage, global investment markets are buffeted by many swift cross-currents. One needs steady and experienced hands, those who have navigated through these environments before, to understand the risks involved and safely reach the destination.

Albany Capital is a privately company wholly owned by its employees. An equity ownership scheme in place for all senior employees starting in 2022. The Principals aim is to build a socio, ethnic and gender diverse company.
