The Australia-Japan Youth Association (AJYA) is a non-government organisation that provides a platform for young people from Australia and Japan to connect and discover professional opportunities that promote Australia-Japan relations. Focusing predominantly on university students and graduates, AJYA aims to foster a network of friendships, professional relationships and bilateral opportunities.
OUR GOALS
- Provide a network that connects young Australian and Japanese individuals
- Encourage students of Japanese language and Japanese studies to engage with the bilateral relationship post-graduation
- Develop a bilateral understanding of business cultures
- Provide a platform for Japanese speakers to practice their linguistic and cultural skills in Japan-related business environments
- Advocate the importance of ‘Japanese capability’ to big corporate in Sydney
- Long-term: Create a ‘Japan Launchpad’ for Australian youth and increase the ‘Japanese Capability’ of Australia’s workforce
