Formed in 1995, the Australian Institute of Ultrasound (AIU) is widely regarded as Australia's leading provider of Ultrasound Training solutions. As the first training facility of its kind here in Australia we have maintained our professional standards and leading-edge technology to ensure that our courses remain current in today's technological age.
We have not only pioneered ultrasound education pedagogy (traditional teaching methodology) but have adapted our courses to meet modern andragogy (adult learning principles) which supports active learning, collaboration and lots of questioning.
Our undisputed position as industry leaders of Innovative, supportive, flexible ultrasound training has gained worldwide recognition and our international student cohort increases annually. We regularly welcome students from Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and other countries.
Our world-class teaching facility in the Gold Coast Queensland provides a modern environment, and flexible workspaces for learners to immerse themselves in hands-on skill-based learning facilitated by the largest and most credentialed teaching faculty across Australasia.
AIU standard and tailored programs are unique in that they are not only ASUM CCPU and CAHPU accredited and credentialed for CPD with a broad range of societies, but our learners’ practice on real-life models with known pathology.
Courses are revised by clinical and educational experts on an ongoing basis in response to cutting edge peer-reviewed journal research, best practice guidelines and highly valued student feedback.
