Description
The Africa Society was founded in Singapore in 1963. Initially, the majority of members were officers from the British Armed Forces having served Her Majesty in West African countries.
It was decided in early December 1987 to amend our constitution to include membership from persons who have served/lived anywhere in Africa. We currently have a healthy membership and a strong community following who support the goals and activities of the Society and who regularly come together to celebrate Africa.
Our Society continues to draw members from a wide range of professions, across many business communities.
Today, the Africa Society exists as a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to bring together likeminded people with a common affinity for our beautiful continent Africa and the many amazing cultures she represents.
