Description
Afri-Aus Care is an incorporated community charity organisation founded by Selba Gondoza Luka in 2015. Located in Springvale South and Docklands in Melbourne, Afri-Aus Care consists of a group of diverse professionals who provide support services to migrant people from African and other CALD backgrounds, who are or may be at risk of experiencing complex, diverse, and intersectional issues. Afri-Aus Care uses the Concept of Ubuntu and the Positive Change Model. We offer intense psychosocial and wellbeing risk assessment, engages in casework and counselling, legal/court support, education, training and employment pathways, referral processes to other organizations, Culturally Appropriate Mental Health Support, drug and alcohol diversion services, youth support, domestic violence support and youth crime prevention. Afri-Aus Care uses Peer to Peer Restorative Triangle Framework which enables youth to become Positive Change Makers.
