Description

In line with today's global energy transition and the main themes of achieving low carbon, decarbonization, and clean green development, the former Western Australia Chinese Petroleum Association was approved by the relevant Australian authorities on March 15th, 2024 to be officially renamed as the "Australia Chinese Energy and Resource Association" (ACERA). Despite the name change, the association remains a non-governmental, non-profit industry organization.

Building upon the original mission and purpose of the Western Australia Chinese Petroleum Association, the renamed association has expanded its geographical scope from Western Australia to the entire country and extended the attributes and connotations of energy resources. The focus areas have broadened from conventional oil and gas to include, but are not limited to, oil, natural gas, renewable energy, and hydrogen and other clean green energy and resource sectors. This change reflects the responsibility and commitment of energy professionals to renewable and green energy.
