A Sound Life is Australia’s first not-for-profit to offer the healing power of music, yoga and meditation as a free service to vulnerable communities across hospitals, aged care, mental health, and disability facilities.
We exist to help people in need access the tools to build resilience, ease stress and reconnect with their inner strength — especially in environments where wellbeing is often out of reach.
Our programs are delivered by a national network of skilled and compassionate volunteers, including musicians, yoga and meditation teachers. These sessions are tailored to each environment, offering gentle, trauma-informed support to individuals and communities facing hardship.
Since 2014, A Sound Life has:
Reached over 75,000 recipients
Delivered more than 6,000 free sessions
Partnered with 100+ facilities across Australia
Trained and supported a growing family of 620 volunteers
We work in hospitals, aged care, disability services, mental health units, youth centres and women’s shelters — meeting people where they are, and offering connection, calm and care through simple, human tools.
Whether it’s a song at a bedside, a breath in a busy ward, or a yoga session in a youth refuge, we’ve seen again and again how these practices open hearts, restore dignity, and remind people they’re not alone.
