A Higher Self is a boutique wellness company that specialises in creating a mentally healthy workplace. Mentally healthy workplaces provide the leadership, policies, processes, employee education and training to prevent psychological injury, stress related absenteeism and presenteeism.
Occupational Health and Safety Law requires companies to implement key measures although research highlights we are much better at the prevention of physical injury than supporting good mental health. The research tells us the two main reasons for this are mental health stigma and mental health illiteracy. When we avoid addressing mental health in the workplace we fail to prioritise it and learn about it.
A Higher Self provides evidence based services to support business to address this complex matter. Our services range from review of policy; gaining leadership buy in and Mental health first aid training to reduce stigma. Employee resilience workshops can be provided and include "Calming Stress in the workplace"; "Better communication better relationships". Training for HR professionals/ management includes "Harnessing Group Dynamics".
